Batteries are included for both the robots and controllers. This set also comes with two infrared (IR) robots (Tombstone and Witch Doctor) and two mini IR remote controls. This is a great size and it fits nicely onto our Ikea coffee table! Fully assemble, it measures 51cm by 51cm by 11cm. The board features authentic graphics just like the television programme. It is straightforward but it does required some strength to slot in all the walls and panels. It did take me some time to put it all together. Setting up the arena will likely require an adult to do it as assembly of the walls onto the fold-out game board and plastic panels is not very easy.
